Note: One of the "Entertainers of Holodrum"
Name: Lena
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Height: 4'6"
Weight: Thin
Weapons: Sabre-style rapier, rope
Occupation: model ("doll"), dancer, juggler
Description: Long, straight black hair and green eyes over a cherub's nose and full lips. Pale skin. She normally wears a red sleeveless laced jerkin over a full white shirt, a multi-layered red and white skirt over white hose, and dainty buttoned dance shoes. Under the skirt she carries a length of rope bound high, and three daggers - one in the length of rope, against the small of her back; one in a pocket in her apron; and one bound against her left arm under the fabric of the full sleeve.
[Question to ask yourself - just because YOU know this, would your character really search her THERE??? ZOMG PERVVV]
Vehicles: Access to Decorated Wagon, Open Cart, and two strong ponies.
Personality: Looks up to Rom, and learned to juggle and dance from the twins. She will sit for hours and let them play with her hair and choose her clothing, even though Seren HATES it when she does this. She keeps her sword sharp, but is very trusting of other people.
History:
The troupe began when Johvan and Rishu left their home with one horse and a fiddle after Johvan's wife died and they couldn't keep up with the farm. Rishu was 4. They made money by Johvan's fiddle and knowledge of folk-songs, and Rishu's sheer cuteness. In one city, a pair of orphaned girls in search of adventure tagged along and discovered they liked to dance and do acrobatics. The four pooled their money and bought an open cart and another horse.
They met a man singing in the main courtyard of Holodrum Castle Town one night after a performance. Barott wasn't attracting a big enough crowd to be a threat, but something in his face prompted Johvan to invite him into the troupe. Barott doesn't talk much, and it is often assumed that he doesn't know very much of the language,
About a year later, they met a beautiful dancer named Din, who reminded Johvan of his long-lost wife. Then a woman named Impa, a friend of Din's, became their cook, and finally a boy named Link appeared nearby. He was a good swordsman and deft acrobat. Plus, he was cute. With Din and Link on the troupe, they made more money than ever before. But, Din, Impa and Link were called away by fate, and the troupe set off for new parts.
One night, a boy and girl on a single horse came riding up to their campfire, dressed in strange attire - pirate-style costumes, with real swords. They were bruised and battered, exhausted beyond complete sanity. Mel quickly patched them up, and through the next weeks, the troupe learned that their names were Lena and Seren, and they had come from a very messed up realm where an old man had had a nightmarish control over them both. Slowly they recuperated, although they both still suffer from nightmares.
Now the seven are inter-realm travelers, traveling from all the different lands that they can find.
Abilities: Tumbling, juggling, advanced fencing and sabre-work, advanced lariot skills, able to cause men to drop their guard when they are alone.
(Lariot is what I know it as - throwing a rope and catching a cow's horns in the loop. Very useful. You can catch a cow's feet and trip him - this is known as "throwing" him - or drop the loop on the other side of a branch to hang a rustler. You want to see good lariot demonstrations, you need to go to a mexican rodeo. Those vaquero are the best. But in the fantasy universe, I'd say that Lena is about as good as that - after all, it was her sword-work and her rope-work that allowed her to eat.)
Known Strengths and weaknesses: Advanced fencing, advanced sabre skills, advanced lariot skills. Afraid of adult men, but still too trusting.
