Kaya and Link walked side-by-side in the dark realm. His sword was drawn, but they seemed more calm than on guard. A were-light floated some ways in front of them and they were chatting.
"I can't understand it, Kaya. How could you possibly want to give him a second chance? I mean, I'm a little biased, considering he tortured me, broke my soul into hundreds of pieces and scattered me all over the realms in order to distract you and destroy Hyrule, but you must agree-!"
"Link, I know what he did to you, but he's not the same as he was then. Besides, we don't really know that it was him who broke your soul and scattered it, do we? And he didn't destroy Hyrule - if anything, I think he was one of the few things that kept Hyrule from falling into pure order under the rule of the Dark Princess."
"I don't care, Kaya. I don't ever want to see him again."
"I don't blame you."
They walked on in silence. A plain wood door, standing all by itself, came into view.
"Hey, where's this go?" Link said, walking around it to examine it from all angles.
Kaya shrugged. "Let's see." She put her hand on the handle and turned it, and looked into the trunk of a tree. Link snickered and she glared at him. She closed the door, shook the handle, and opened it again.
This time, the free-standing door opened into the crowded Central Castle Town of Tempra. Kaya and Link stepped into the crowd, and Kaya closed the door behind them. The color faded, a line of light outlined the door for a moment, and then it was gone.
"Hm." Said Link.
"It seems fate has decided to bring me here once again." Said Kaya.
"Can fate decide to bring me some food?" Asked Link.
"I think it can." Said Kaya.
